Nordsjaelland was the sharpest and got a 3-0 win and the season's first three points when they played at home against the promoted team AaB on Friday. The North Jutlanders offered the hosts a dance-like game throughout the match, but it was difficult to create big chances and not least goals. FCN instead scored twice within a short time just before the middle of the first half, where first Marcus Ingvartsen and then the debuting right-back Peter Ankersen headed the ball. In the final phase, substitute Mads Hansen secured the win with his strong left foot. With the win, FCN is at the top of the Superliga after a Friday where the champion team FC Midtjylland earlier played 1-1 at AGF. AaB knew from the first whistle with great clarity that they are not back in the Superliga to feed themselves to survival under the team's new head coach, Menno van Dam. The North Jutlanders were optimistic in their approach to the game and took a lot of initiative, which is far from normal for away teams in Farum. It gave a game-like equal first half, where the hosts had much easier access to the chances than the guests, and it paid off twice. Both times, Oliver Villadsen, who after the summer's farewell to Martin Frese has moved from right to left back position, was the creator. After 18 minutes, he made the cross that Marcus Ingvartsen converted to 1-0, and shortly after Villadsen pressed and forced a save from AaB debutant Vincent Müller. The rebound was FCN debutant Peter Ankersen, who has come from FC Copenhagen on a free transfer, over, and he headed the home team to 2-0. The game picture continued in the second half, where FCN saw little of the ball, while AaB on the other hand created their best chances in the game. The young midfielder Kasper Davidsen and the new appointed captain Mathias Jørgensen each got one, but both lacked quality in their finishes. Instead of a reduction and renewed excitement, it became 3-0 in the final minutes when substitute offensive player Mads Hansen took a few steps into the field and laid the ball nicely in goal with his left foot. FCN's win was a perfect start to the season, and the team can now look forward to the next game with confidence. AaB, on the other hand, must find their way back on track after the defeat.
