Casper Røjkjær Leaves Nordsjaelland for Fredrikstad. Røjkjær has been with FC Nordsjælland for four years and has been responsible for training planning and match preparation. The club finished third in the Danish Superliga this season. FFK has bought him out of a contract that was due to expire in the summer of 2027. Røjkjær has been in Fredrikstad since Sunday and is already in place to lead his first FFK training session on Wednesday. - First and foremost, I am very happy. I am very excited to get started, says Røjkjær. I have seen a bit of Fredrikstad, and it seems like a fantastic city. We have seen the stadium and I can hardly wait to get started with the boys on the pitch, says the Dane. Head coach Andreas Hagen was sacked after the team beat HamKam on 16 May. FFK had previously lost four games, including a loss to arch-rival Sarpsborg. They are currently tenth in the elite series with 10 points from 9 games. Football director Joachim Heier is clear about what he expects from the Dane. - The ambition is to have the highest training standard in the country, collectively and individually. That is the task we have lured Casper to Fredrikstad for, says Heier. Even the new boss promises an offensive team. - In the long run, I will develop a team that is offensive and has faith in being able to take control of all the games we play, says Røjkjær.
